Each week we have openings for many of the following fun roles! Visit us for details about participating.
Toastmaster
The Toastmaster provides their own written introduction to the President before the meeting. At the start of their role they may make a few comments but then follow the meeting agenda, introducing the various roles and functions of meeting participants. The Toastmaster needs to use first and last names whenever possible. The Toastmaster introduces each back-table functionary in turn ( the Grammarian, the Ah Tabulator, the Timer, and the Dinger). They introduce each Speaker in turn using written introductions written and submitted by the Speakers. They ask guests to write written comments to the Speakers as well as voting for best Speaker, table topics Speaker and Evaluator. They introduce the Table Topics Master with a brief explanataion of what "Table Topics" is for the benefit of guests and first time visitors. They also deliver an introduction of the Table Topics Master from one provided by the Table Topics Master. After Table Topics, the Toastmaster introduces the Evalutors using their submitted introductions. They call for the votes of best Evaluator and then proceed to re-introduce the functionaries for the reports from each (Grammarian, Ah Tabulator, Timer and Dinger). The Toastmaster then announces the winner of the vote for best Speaker, best table topics participantand best Evaluator. They then re-introduce and return the meeting over to the President.
